Estimation of Oxfendazole in Bulk and Pharmaceutical Formulation by Various Analytical Methods an Overview
Keywords:

Mebendazole, albendazole, levamisole, and pyrantel pamoate, the most often used conventional therapies for soil transmitted helminths in humans, have very varied efficiency against different parasite species and have unfavourable pharmacokinetic properties, such as a short half-life. Oxfendazole, a strong broad-spectrum anthelmintic with a long half-life, has been regarded a promising method for transitioning from veterinary medicine to human use. Analytical approaches for quantitative detection of oxfendazole in human matrix, on the other hand, are limited and insensitive. Some bioanalytical methods were used to monitor oxfendazole according to literature survey, such as UV-Spectroscopic, Bioanalytical Method development of oxfendazole by UPLC-MS/MS. Mebendazole, albendazole, levamisole, and pyrantel pamoate, the most often used conventional therapies for soil transmitted helminths in humans, have inconsistent efficiency against different parasite species and have unfavourable pharmacokinetic properties, such as a short half-life. Oxfendazole, a strong broad-spectrum anthelmintic with a long half-life, has been deemed a promising method for moving from veterinary medicine to human use. Analytical approaches for detecting oxfendazole in human matrix, on the other hand, are quite limited and insensitive. All validation parameters were within the acceptable range. Very few methods for determination of oxfendazole have been reported.
