Rasashastra is a branch that deals with Ayurvedic formulations comprising of plant, animal and mineral origin. Ample of literature is available in form of Sanskrit literature containing the matter pertaining to preparation of drug from metal and mineral origin with their therapeutic indications. Literature work flourish mostly in Samhita and Sangraha period. But lots of Rasagrantha were written in modern period. Bharat Bhaishajya Ratnakara is a compiled literature of modern era. Keeping timely concept of the text in mind, an attempt has been made to review and analyze it. This treatise is a compilation of 9598 formulations indicated for 64 Rogadhikara which are divided in 5 parts. The practical aspect of the book influence both the academicians as well as the physicians.
