Sophisticated instrumental analysis of Trinakantamani Pishti by various methods.

Abstract


Trinakantamani Pishti was prepared by reference of Bheshaja Samhita, Bhasma-Pishti Prakarana 1 , which is indicated for Vataja, Pittaja and Kaphaja Galagraha, Gala Granthi, Gandamala. Aim- to standardize Trinakantamani Pishti pharmaceutically. Methods- Trinakantamani Pishti was prepared as per reference of Bheshaja Samhita, Bhasma-Pishti Prakarana and it was analysed by various sophisticated instrumental analysis method like SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) and EDX (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Particle size analysis (PSA).Results: SEM analysis showed the particle size ranging between 409.5 nm at 4Kx magnification and 327.5 nm at 10Kx magnification. EDAX analysis showed that Trinakantamani Pishti is mainly composed of Carbon (70.02%) and Oxygen (29.01%).. There is no any corresponding data found regarding XRD peaks obtained by analysis in JCPDS reference card.Particle size of Trinakantamani Pishti is 349.4 nm +-285 nm in size.
