Abstract

The current research study aimed to conduct a comprehensive phytochemical screening of four distinct plant leaves, namely Guava, Jambolan, Ber, and Lakshmitaru, all of which are found in the Madan Mohan Herbal Garden located at JNCHRC in Bhopal. This screening process involved the preparation of ethanolic extracts from the plant leaves. The analysis revealed the presence of various phytoconstituents, including tannins, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids, terpenoids, steroids, carbohydrates, and glycosides within these plants. Furthermore, to assess their solubility, the selected plant extracts underwent rigorous solubility tests and were subsequently categorized into different solubility statuses, such as soluble, insoluble, sparingly soluble, slightly soluble, freely soluble, and poorly soluble. To extract the desired components, the maceration method was employed as the preferred extraction technique.
