Pharmacological intervention by natural remedies as antimicrobial agent: A Review
Keywords:
Antimicrobial, antifungal, antioxidantAbstract
Economically significant edible seeds grown and consumed all over the world are common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Protein, starch, and dietary fibre are especially abundant in P. vulgaris. When compared to cereal starches, bean starch is believed to be significantly less digestible. In the literature, significant biological activities such as those related to antioxidant, antibacterial, antihyperglycemic, and anticancer effects are linked to the chemical composition of beans. At the genetic and biochemical levels, antifungal activity was examined. To a maximum of 71%, twelve bacterial strains were able to block the three pathogenic strains of Fusarium sp., Macrophomina sp., and Alternaria sp. In controlled biocontrol experiments, it was found that Pseudomonas lini, Agrobacterium fabrum, Bacillus halotolerans, Bacillus velezensis, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens had the greatest protective effects on common bean cv. Blanc coco.References
