Abstract

Genetic testing, a medical test identifies changes in chromosomes, genes or proteins. The result of a genetic test result helps us to confirm or rule out any suspected genetic disorder and determine susceptibility of a person for a genetic disorder. Prenatal testing can be used to diagnose the changes which include neural tube defect and genetic disorders like Down’s syndrome that may occur in a zygote’s gene or chromosome even before the time of birth. This type of genetic is provided during the time of pregnancy to check whether there is any probability that newborn may suffer from a disorder. However ethical theory and principles often provide a skeleton for solving ethical beliefs in screening for genetic conditions during the time of pregnancy.
