Abstract

One of the most popular and traditional cosmetics, hair colour has been used by numerous ancient societies throughout history on both men and women. In the market, there are synthetic oxidative hair dyes that combine peroxide and ammonia, which harms hair and triggers allergic reactions. Additionally, those who use synthetic colours run the chance of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, breast cancer, and bladder cancer. Utilising plant-based natural hair dyes can overcome these problems. These are secure to use as few examples are henna, chamomile, madder, beets, turmeric, walnuts etc. Natural hair dyes in the Indian market offer a diverse and sustainable range of hair colouring options, catering to the growing demand for safer and more eco-friendly alternatives. The higher sales of natural hair dye products in Indian market are Indus Valley, Biotique and Khadi natural. These products get more sales than usual hair dye products. From 2022 to 2028, the market for natural hair dye in India is projected to expand at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 15.2%. The surge in natural hair dyes reflects a growing awareness of the importance of natural and sustainable choices in the beauty industry.
