Abstract

The study aimed at documenting the plant Cyperus rotundus cyperus which is used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus on being subjected to phytochemical screening and efficacy evaluation. The ethnobotanical information was collected to ascertain the systematics of the plant specimen. The plant extracts were investigated to be antidiabetic.
