Steroidal Heterocycles: A Review

Abstract

During recent years a large number of modified steroids containing heteroatom in the steroid nucleus have been synthesized. There are a number of methods to synthesize heterocyclic steroids which posses various biological properties. Many heterocyclic groups viz., pyridine, pyrimidine, pyrazole, oxazole, piperazine, isoxazole, thiazole can be attached to steroidal nucleus.
