Abstract

Paraquat is a toxic chemical that is widely used as herbicide chemical product which related for agriculture purpose but some people intake oral paraquat poison with might be both accidental or intentional ingestion which leads to severe and often toxicity. It is an herbicide commonly used in India that has lethal consequences even on minimal consumption. The person who consumed paraquat has rate of mortality is high and there is death which frequently seen, This case report and review article which we have worked on it explores the survival chance of person consumption is low even Though immune-suppressants and antioxidants are conventionally used, but there is a no proper evidence to prove survival benefit of these treatment regimens. There is no rational effective antidote for paraquat poison. In sporadic case reports, clinicians have used various treatments, such as antioxidants (high-dose vitamin C or E), N-acetylcysteine, nitric oxide supplement, corticosteroids, cytotoxic agents, or paraquat antibodies in treating paraquat poisoning, with various outcomes.
