A Review of the Most Important Medicinal Herbs: Adathodai Leaf (AL)
Abstract
Leaf of Adhatoda vasica (Vasaka) is a key drug of Ayurveda, prescribed as an expectorant. Quinazoline alkaloids in the nearby leaves are established as lively main beliefs. In Ayurveda, its leaf juice (Vasa swarasa) is included in many formulations. For e.g., Drug, cough, and throat stomach: Take only the leaf, boil the water and give it to the honey; Asthma, cough, and sore disorder: To provide drinking water with tipsily, auction, liquorices and shrimps; Coughing leaves the tip of the leaf curl and the smoker (asthma). If you eat tea with the juice of lemon juice, blood clotting and jaundice will be healed. Adathodai is a shrub found in most parts of India. The plant is used extensively in the treatment of asthma, breathlessness, cough, bronchitis and tuberculosis, joint pain, lumbar pain, sprains, eczema, malaria, rheumatism, swellings, as an anti-hyperglycemic, anti-diarrhoeal and anti-convulsant.
