Microwave Aided Ecological Forced Degradation Method for the Rapid Exploration of the Drug Impurity: Literature Investigated UP TO the Time Point

Pratik M Tailor, Shailesh A. Shah

Abstract

The drug development life cycle is a time-consuming process, which also involves lots of efforts in the testing of the chemical stability of the drug molecules and possible impurity and degradation product of the drug before it comes in the form of a stable formulation. The Forced degradation and stability testing involves the major time portion in researching the chemistry of the molecules. With the aim of getting a green and rapid method for forced degradation study of the drug molecules, applications of microwave radiation were reviewed in the literature. This shows significant development in the forced degradation methodology by this innovative approach.
