Background: First aid, though beneficial is not given a lot of importance in most countries which leads to inadequate knowledge and practice of first-aid among the general public

Aim and Objectives: A study on impact of clinical pharmacist-based toolkits in management of first aid. The main objective of the study is to assess and promote knowledge of emergency situations and first aid techniques and tools that are used in those situations in order to prevent mortality and promote recovery.

Methods: A prospective observational and interventional study was conducted in order to assess the knowledge of people about various emergency conditions and the first aid measures used in those conditions. A total of 100 subjects ranging between the age of 20 to 50 years were taken and the study was conducted in the area, RT Nagar Bangaluru from January to September 2022. The before and after data that was collected via a questionnaire was tabulated in Microsoft excel and statistical analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, Chi-square and Fisher’s exact test.                 

Results: A total of 100 subjects were undertaken in the study, among which         were male and        were female. We initially assessed their knowledge about various emergency conditions and the first-aid measures to be taken along with first-aid kit and its uses. The initial knowledge percentage was        among subjects before the intervention which later was  after the intervention. The differences in the knowledge of the subject before and after the intervention varied to a great extent.

Conclusion: This study was done to promote the importance of first-aid knowledge among people and at the end of the study we saw a significant increase in the knowledge of the subject undertaken in the study. P- Value is <0.001 which states that the following study was highly significant.
