Optimization of Mobile Phase and Stability—Indicating HPTLC Method for the Determination of Prasugrel Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Dosage Form
Abstract
A simple and sensitive high-performance thin layer chromatographic method was developed and validated for Prasugrel hydrochloride. It was spotted on silica gel 60F254 TLC plates, developed using toluene:methanol (9.9:0.1, v/v) as mobile phase and scanned at 258 nm using a Camag TLC Scanner IV. The Rf value of Prasugrel hydrochloride were found to be 0.53±0.03. It was found to be linear in the concentration range of 300–1500 ng/band. The limit of detection and limit of quantitation for Prasugrel hydrochloride were found to be 300 and 900 ng/band. The proposed method was successfully applied for stability indicating HPTLC method for the determination of Prasugrel hydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosage form.
