Abstract

The objective of the current work is to synthesize some novel benzoxazinone derivatives and to study their antibacterial activity in particular. Thus an effort has been made in this direction. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesized some novel benzoxazinone derivative is summarized. As estimated, benzoxazinone derivatives exhibited significant to moderate antimicrobial activity. Therefore, a detailed study of toxicity is necessary. Heterocycles formed the sites of reactions in many enzymes or co-enzymes. Among the wide variety of heterocycles that have been discovered for developing pharmaceutically important molecule 1,4-benzoxazines constitute an important group due to their varied variety of biological activities. The anti-microbial testing showed that few compounds have promising activity at low dosage levels. The 2H-benzo[b][1,4]oxazin-3(4H)-one and 3,4-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzoxazinone have been often utilized as suitable skeletons for the design of biologically active compounds. Structures of the newly synthesized compound were established by elemental analysis and spectral data.
