Nanotechnology-Understanding this Promising Technique in the Pharmaceutical Field

Abstract


The most originated branch in pharmaceutical sciences is known as “Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology” that presents a new tool, opportunities and scope, which is expected to have significant applications in the disease diagnostics and therapeutics. An interest to develop a deeper understanding of the nature, fate and behavior of nanoparticles in the environment is growing. In this review study, authors explained the key properties of nanoparticles and their methods of preparation. Pharmaceutical nanotechnology constitutes of Nano-sized products which can be transformed into various ways to improve their characteristics. There are various pharmaceutical nanotechnology systems which can be termed as Nano pharmaceuticals like polymeric nanoparticles, magnetic nanoparticles, liposomes, carbon nanotubes, quantum dots, dendrimers, metallic nanoparticles, polymeric nanoparticles and so on.
