Abstract

Nanotechnology is the science and technology conducted at nanoscale, i.e., 1–100 nm. It is the manipulation of matter with at least one dimension ranging from 1–100 nm.In this study, we discussed the importance of nanoparticles/nanotechnology for drug delivery, their characteristics, applications and future of nanotechnology. Nanoparticles are very small fascinating little objects. It deals with physics quantum mechanics (theory in physics which describes nature at smallest scale of energy levels). Nanoparticles are like “double edged sword” on one side they show unique properties due to their extremely small size and on the other side it’s very difficult to work with them because we don’t have advanced instruments to handle such small particles. Nanotechnology will help scientists to make extremely fast computers, quantum dots one day go into your body and will find the disease.
