Abstract

The anti-diabetic effect of SSK Plus tablet of Sanjeevi Pharma was studied in line with modern scientific parameters such as inhibition of alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase by in vitro. The individual herbal ingredients of SSK Plus have shown great activity and together have proven to be superior over individual herbs. The study has more than proving the efficacy of Sanjeevi SSK Plus, shows the greatness of Siddha System of Medicine which appears to suffer slightly due to cross pathy. The clinical experience of Siddha and Ayurveda vaidyas have stated that besides Sanjeevi SSK Plus inhibiting the blood glucose burden post prandial may also be increasing the glucose uptake by the cells as Sanjeevi SSK Plus is stated to reduce blood glucose level slightly within 30 minutes as stated by some vaidyas. The present study has validated that SSK Plus of Sanjeevi Pharma may offer great relief to Diabetic patients across the world and also have proved that Siddha system is scientific and proven.
