Carbon Nano tubes (CNTs) have been recently introduced as a novel carrier system in the biomedical field and produce small and large therapeutic molecules. CNTs have attracted increasing attention for their versatile applications. Based on layers of CNTs, CNTs are generally divided into two categories: single-walled carbon Nano tubes (SWCNTs), multi-walled carbon Nano tubes (MWCNTs). It shows the unique properties and cylindrical shape structure. It shows a greater advantage in transmembrane penetration, which facilitates intracellular CNTs also to penetrate the BBB effectively. Particularly, they are attractive as carriers and mediators for cancer therapy. Anticancer drugs including doxorubicin, carboplatin, paclitaxel uses as Nano carriers. This is act as a genes modulating therapy and also including for the transformation of plasmid DNA, small-interfering RNA and nucleotides. CNTs can generate the Raman signals by the activity of electrical conductor with photo thermal cell for optical intensity. CNTs gives the advance effect when it applies in photo therapy. It shows remarkably penetrating capability on the cell membrane and unique properties of cellular uptake use for cancer therapy. It plays a major role because this phenomenon allows distinguishing normal cells from affected in cancer therapy. Recently research on in-vitro and in-vivo drug delivery based on CNTs involving tumor-targeted drug delivery systems. In the field of CNT technology for cancer treatment, the issues surrounding CNT toxicity remain inconclusive.
