Green synthesized silver nanoparticles preparation from 1mM AgNo3 solution through the fruit extract of Helicteres isora. in the range of 24–30 nm with increased stability and enhanced anti-tumour potency were reported in this present study. Green synthesized silver nanoparticles from fruit extract of H. isora (Hif-AgNPs) were characterized by using UV-VIS absorption spectroscopy and the morphology of the nanoparticles was characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The anti-tumour efficacy was evaluated against Ehrlich’s ascites carcinoma (EAC) by using in vitro cytotoxicity. In vitro analysis through dye exclusion method and MTT assay were showed the cytotoxicity potential of the Hif-AgNPs against EAC cell lines. Experimental results revealed that Hif-AgNPs possesses a significant anticancer activity with very less quantity which may be due to its potent cytotoxicity properties. Further research is going on to find out the active principles of Hif-AgNPs for its anticancer activity.
